Now
Over the years Loril has done many musical things, but through it all her main joy and focus has
always remained the Celtic harp and traditional music. For the last decade she has been exploring
the early music of all the Celtic countries, performing as a soloist and as member of various folk groups.
Occasionally she can be still be found having a riot running Medieval and Renaissance seminars for
schools to learn about early music and society.
Then
In her early years Loril studied piano and theory with the Royal Conservatory, followed by a period of pianist
and acompaniest work. During her time at university she played harpsicord, krumhorn and recorders in the
early music Collegium Musicum group and trombone in the local Jazz Band.
In the 1990's she had a busy and wonderful time acting as Musical Director for improvisational comedy troupes
and a radio show, as well as creating and performing music for medieval and mystery shows. There was also
the odd stint on keyboards and vocals in a Celtic band or two.
